FR: Ce travail est une recherche sur la forme et la morphologie des objets, avec comme point de départ la chaise MAA de Georges Nelson. La réplique digitale de la chaise, modélisée en
3D, sert de base d’inspiration pour designer une collection d’objets ayant d’autres fonctions. De petits détails deviennent des éléments structurels de nouveaux objets. Ce procédé de déconstruction peut être vu comme un dialogue avec le designer originel.
EN: This project is a morphology and form research based on George Nelson’s MAA chair. Can aesthetics be transplanted? The aesthetic qualities of the digital replica are applied to new objects with different functions. Parts of this iconic chair are used to create new ranges of forms in different contexts. This process of reverse-engineering can be seen as a dialogue with the original designer.
